After more than two years of testing in various EU countries, Renault Trucks has introduced a new service offering: the Start & Drive Excellence Predict.
It is a system of predictive maintenance, the task of which is to minimize the risk of unplanned downtime due to a failure and thus ensure the smooth operation of the vehicle fleet.

How does it work?

The Start & Drive Excellence Predict service is based on an individually compiled and carefully followed service plan, as well as on real-time monitoring of the vehicle's technical data. In addition to mileage, operating hours and fuel consumption, the system also collects a wear condition of 80% of key vehicle components, the failure of which could potentially cause unplanned downtime. Status information is updated every 3 days and monitored by the relevant Renault Truck Service.

The system uses sensors to monitor components such as brake pads and discs, clutch pressure plate, batteries and other elements. In the event that the system evaluates the wear condition of a component as risky, the monitoring platform informs the relevant Renault Truck Service, which then contacts the customer and arranges a visit with him. As part of such an agreed service, the mechanics will also check whether there is another service intervention on the agenda, thus optimizing the downtime.
The service is currently available for vehicles from the T and T High model series, but this year it will also be extended to the C and K model series.
