Mark DAF is extremely popular in Europe, after all, its trucks were the best-selling in 2018. The new CF and XF models should take the Dutch brand back to the heights. Specifically, the XF model is supplied in a 6 × 4 configuration and with three cab variants - Comfort with a low roof, Space is taller and more spacious, Super Space with an even greater dose of space.
Even more power
Tractor has a PACCAR MX-13 engine with an output of 30 to 530 hp (390 kW) and a torque of 2600 Nm. There is no doubt that it can match most European six-cylinder engines, remember the Volvo with 540 and the Scania with 500 and 2550 Nm.
But it's not just about better performance. DAF also boasts a more economical ride, to which the new turbocharger, for example, contributes. The HE500 turbocharger provides support at lower speeds, helping to achieve maximum torque even at these lower speeds. The redesigned cab is more aerodynamic, which also plays a role in consumption.
Higher security
The safety equipment on the XF has been redesigned, new wagon has radar cruise control, lane assistant, stability control and collision warning. It also has a camera with a side view, so you can see what is not visible in the mirror. The view from the driver's seat has also been improved.
Three large steps for boarding, sprung seats with heating, and armrests were also improved. The cruise control button is on the right side of the steering wheel, the heart of the dashboard is, of course, a large screen with many functions. Between the seats you will also find a generous fridge that can hold food for several days of travel.
